二月时宣布要无限期休息的Blink 182在宣布乐队立即暂停一切活动后，原本只有鼓手Travis Barker出面稍微说明了一下三位成员未来的可能计划，前几天另一位成员－贝斯手Mark Hoppus终于也打破沉默，在接受访问时表示他和Travis将要另组一个新团体，乐队名叫做Plus 44，曲风与Blink 182截然不同，是以电子音乐路线为主。
在提及与Travis共同新组的Plus 44时，Mark的反应显得相当热烈，他说Plus 44的曲风就像一股清流，跟Blink 182完全不同，他把Blink 182的音乐比做白天，而Plus 44的音乐则像黑夜。Plus 44目前是以Travis家里的地下室作为练团跟创作的基地，他们也请到一位之前在摇滚乐队里演唱的女歌手来担任Plus 44的主唱。至于团名Plus 44的由来，Mark表示因为这个团的成立是他跟Travis在Blink 182于英国表演时想到的，而从美国打电话到英国前面必须要加上44这个国码，因此就把团名叫做Plus 44。
Blink 182宣布暂停一切活动后，鼓手Travis反而变得更忙碌，因为除了和Mark合组的Plus 44正筹备新作之外，他自己原本就已经组成的另一支摇滚团体Transplants也正在录制新专集，同时他还将与一些嘻哈歌手合作专辑，再加上他还得兼顾纪录他真实生活的实境电视节目，显然Travis在Blink 182休息后发展的路变得宽广许多，也难怪队友Mark直说Blink 182要再复合恐怕很难了。
