[交流] 加拿大女王大学核材料组全奖博士生机会（2名）

Introduction：Queen’s University, NSERC and the Canadian nuclear industry have established an internationally recognized Industrial Research Chair (IRC) program in Nuclear Materials. The chair program is now in its third five-year term. Work is carried out in the areas of radiation damage, radiation-induced deformation, and properties of zirconium, nickel and iron based alloys for nuclear power applications. This includes: mechanical properties; ion and neutron irradiation; modeling (multiscale and MD); materials characterization by TEM, X-ray diffraction and SEM. The Reactor Materials Testing Laboratory (RMTL) is an exciting new research endeavor for the Queen’s Nuclear Materials Group. The project represents a $17.5M investment, and will be operational in early 2014. It includes a high energy proton accelerator to introduce irradiation damage into materials. By studying the effects of this damage on the way that materials behave we can gain insight into, and draw parallels with, the way that materials are damaged within the high energy neutron environment of the nuclear reactor.
