Fluoride has the very high chemical activity and biological activity, which is one of the great harm of pollutants£¬no matter to people, flora, fauna or ecological system. At the same time, fluorine and its family almost become the important chemical raw materials additives and other important refrigerant material for industry. Recently, it's this duality that many scholars concern and research about. This paper introduces the basic characteristics of fluoride and potassium fluoride, fluoride effects on human health, industrial fluorine pollution source and fluorine pollution of surface water in China's far-reaching effects on the human nature. And explaining the preparation of potassium fluoride with multiple perspectives. This paper deals with fluorine ion and chloride ion in the waste which can be converted to determination of fluoride ion content in industrial waste, using acid and alkali titration and fluorine ion electrode potential analysis. Nowadays, due to China's containing fluorine medicine, containing fluorine agrochemical, containing fluorine dye and rapid development, especially the fluorine-containing pesticides have been listed as national key product, so this paper studies the recycling of potassium fluoride is of great value. Fluorine has been considered as one of the harmful contaminants to either people, animals and plants or ecosystem because of its high chemical and biological activity. On the other hand, as important chemical raw materials, fluorine and fluorides almost become indispensible substances of additives in starting material and cryogen in all trades and professions. Its dual natures as mentioned have been concerned and investigated by many scholars. Foundamental properties of fluorine and potassium fluoride and the effects of fluorine on human healty were presented in this paper, so were the source of contamination from industial fulorine and the far-reaching influence of fulorine contamination of surface water in our country on nature and mankind. The methods of preparing potassium fluoride have been discussed from various perspectives. What is concerned in this paper is to convert the chloride ion in the waste material to fluoride ion and measure the content of the fuloride ion, during which the acid-base titration and fluoride ion electrode potential analysis methods were employed. In recent years, there is a rapid development in medicines, pesticides and dyes containing fluoride in China, especially that the pesticides with fluoride have been listed as key products by our country. Thus, it is of great value to investigate the recycling of potassium fluoride.
