Happiness represents the ultimate goal in life. Some see happiness in material things such as money, cars, fame and last but not least power. We all know that power corrupts even the kindest of hearts but money is not shy of accomplishing that either. Throughout the centuries people's perception towards happiness has changed drastically but there are still people that see happiness as something bigger than material wealth, public recognition or overwhelming power. For some happiness is a state of serenity, or as some hippies might say, being "at peace with the world and the surrounding environment". These people tend to live calm, stress free lives and try living constantly striving to become better people. Also they are the few people that have a positive thinking and try to put a smile on the face of others without seeking payment. Another type is the very motivated but bad intentioned money hungry, power craving materialists. Those are the ones that are in higher number and quite frankly run other people's lives. They're very selfish, always keep a positive thought on repeat and use this method in order to achieve their goals regardless of the number of bodies they step on to get there. Materialists live to gain as much as they can without realizing that they won't take anything to the grave and before they connect the dots it's too late. A third type is made up of simple people with simple lives, working simple jobs but having a tendency to think little of themselves thus narrowing down the chances of achieving happiness to almost zero. Their idea of happiness is making more money, thus improving their living standards resulting in taking advantage of their financial stability to enjoy life. As I've said those chances drastically drop when pessimism enters their mind and they become content with what they have and settling for making ends meet. It's the people that fall in the last category that need improvement. This is easily accomplished by changing their present thoughts for future benefits. I know it's not as easy as it looks but with the right amount of determination and a good control over each thought success is bound to happen. But like all methods it takes time and perseverance and both items are not easy to have. In order to change your living you must change your thinking, although it sounds like broken record but it's true and what you keep inside shows on the outside is also true. I know it will be difficult in the beginning but once you've got the hang of it you're bound to win. Try taking small steps, for instance if you have an urgent deadline for an important report, stop stressing that you won't make it and try thinking of simplifying your work and complete it bit by bit. Constantly remind yourself that you can do it, you can make it , you will do it, you will make it. In conclusion the visible results are made in interior processing, after all if we can't control our own thoughts how can we control whether the future will bring success or not. |

Charles Kingsley’s remark, “We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements in life, when all we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about.” Which means that we feel happy when find somthing is interested in and enthusiastic, rather than caring about money and beautiful coats. Therefore, we should seek for something is about enthusiastic. Taking a look around, we can find examples too numerous to list. The best illustration might be teachers. First, teachers select this job about teaching students in school, because they like sending konwledge to students by themselves and they fell comfortable. Second, as a teacher,school often gives he decent money, but to his important, he is enthusiastic about teaching and connecting with students. Last but not least, teachers not only studying all their life, but also they an enlight the road of students, and give the best hlep to the young people. Personally, we should find our happy things when we live in comfort and luxury of lives. First and formost, we should keep good feelings when we feel depression about our lives. Secondly, we should keep enthusiasitic in my mind and think life is full of sunshine. Last but not least, teachers are our best book and we should study their style of living. Therefore, all pepole should keep enthusiastic. |
