[交流] How to refuse?

it is very normal to refuse somebody.but how to make refuse suitable is not very easy for us.
         when your friends ask you to offer help to he,you must be promised very soon.but if you are very busy or have something urgent to do.what do you do to rufuse his request?
         if someone who is not very familiar for you ask you to help,and you are not willing to help he,how to rufuse he?
      for me,i will tell the truth to my friend,and i will refuse others directly or tell he that i have other plan...

Obviously it is not a problem to refuse a request from unfamiliar people. However, it is often a challenge to say NO to your best friends. I always make compromises. I think you are in the right way that to tell the truth.
