慎用加和百服宁、复方感冒灵等药物

咖啡因和乙酰氨基酚不能混合服用 University of Washington 化学家Sid Nelson最新研究表明咖啡因和乙酰氨基酚混用，会导致肝脏损害甚至肝坏死。而目前市售感冒药物，大多同时含有这两种成分，所以大家要谨慎选用感冒降烧药。比如复方感冒灵片是常用的中西药复方制剂，由五指柑等6味中药加对乙酰氨基酚、咖啡因等组成 。加和百服宁、氨咖黄敏胶囊等药物都含有乙酰氨基酚、咖啡因。所以大家使用时，看看成分，尤其小孩服药更要慎重！ Acetaminophen, caffeine shouldn't be mixed Print story Email to a friend Font size:SEATTLE, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Mixing large amounts of caffeine while taking the painkiller acetaminophen could potentially cause liver damage, U.S. researchers found. Chemist Sid Nelson and colleagues of the University of Washington, in Seattle, tested the effects of acetaminophen and caffeine on bacteria and found that caffeine triples the amount of a toxic byproduct, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine, or NAPQI, an enzyme produced while breaking down acetaminophen that can cause liver damage and liver failure. "People should be informed about this potentially harmful interaction," Nelson said in a statement. "The bottom line is that you don’t have to stop taking acetaminophen or stop taking caffeine products, but you do need to monitor your intake more carefully when taking them together, especially if you drink alcohol." The bacteria used in the study were exposed to "megadoses" of both acetaminophen and caffeine -- higher than most individuals would normally consume -- but the toxic threshold has not yet been determined, the Chemical Research in Toxicology reported. Nelson adds that the risks are also higher for those who take large amounts of medications that combine both acetaminophen and caffeine used for migraine headaches, arthritis and other conditions.
