[交流]
Among kids, who are psychologically stronger, boys or girls?

I knew two boys here, they go to the same school with my daughter, they are in the same grade, but not in the same class, i. e., they three are in three different classes. They can meet each other every day at school, when they play outside classroom or they go to study English in the same classroom. They also get together often at weekends. But, the difference is, these two boys cried much more than my daughter. My daughter nearly never cries. When she thinks she is treated unfairly by me, she will run to her bedroom, stay there for a while, I never follow her. After about 10 minutes, she will return to where I am, and she is OK, laughing, tickling me again, as if nothing has happened. She did cry once, with tissues in her hand. That was when we played a chess-like thing, named checker. Each person has 12 pieces, when you move forward to attack the pieces of the other side, you have to be very careful, if you put your piece at a wrong position, and you think you will take one piece of the other person, your piece will soon by taken by the other person. It is really hard for my daughter. She is six. Before this, she only played Chinese Checker, which we call Tiaoqi in Chinese. That is much easier than this one, at least your movemen will not reasult in immediate lose of you piece or place. But this did. My daughter liked it very much. When we played it, she cried, murmuring things like, I will lose, you will take my piece... With a piece of tissue in her hand, she wiped her eyes again and again, her nose also made a sound. That day, she was in her blue jacket, sitting on the rug in our living-room. She looked very miserable. I said, if you do not want to play it, let's stop. She said yes. So, we had to continue as she sobbed. But, one of the mothers of the boys said, her son cried at least once every day. The other boy, cried in our room, befre he cried, he asked her mother, come here, come her! Then he put his face in the arms of his mother, and began crying. ![]() Is this phenomenon popular? Do you think girls are stronger mentally than boys of the same age? Thank your for your response! [ Last edited by winter_north on 2013-5-19 at 10:00 ] |
