关于期刊要求缩文章的问题

请问期刊发邮件要求把文章从12页缩到8页，我也大概只能缩到9页左右，而且缩了后图变得很小，这样会不会影响被录用的概率呢？而且期刊发邮件让缩文章被录用的概率大吗？主要是我的文章5月5号才投的，按理应该还没经过review的。但是我之前也投了一篇文章到这个期刊，也是12页的，也每页让我缩就under review. 下面是期刊发来的邮件，请指教。 I very much appreciate your submission of the paper “XXX” to the Transactions on Industrial Electronics. THE SUBMITTED PAPER IS OVERLENGTH. Please notice that standard/allowed paper length for publication in IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics is 08 pages only. We have been receiving immense number of manuscripts for publication but we are unable to publish overlength papers due to space limitation of TIE Journal. Therefore, we are gratified to authors for restricting their papers up to no more than 08 pages including bibliography, bio and etc. However, addition of 1 or 2 pages may be adjusted (not for bio or photos) after the review process, if the paper is accepted. We shall appreciate and accept your manuscript if you please reduce your paper to 08 pages length and resubmit. Thank you for your understanding.
