Employment Opportunities SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE Senior Research Assistant/ Post-doc Research Fellow The position provides opportunity for the appointee to contribute to the broad research goals in a research team, to work with a group of investigators studying important and exciting relationship between psychological stress related change of gut microbiota, enteric nerve system, hippocampus development and colorectal diseases. He/She will report to and team up with Prof Bian zhaoxiang of the School of Chinese Medicine. Current, there are two open positions. Applicants should possess at least an MPhil Degree, preferably PhD Degree in biological or biomedical studies, with enough research experience and exposure to neuroscience research or stem cell research, and strong publication record. Major scientific projects of the laboratory include: The role of inflammation/psychological stress in the development of irritable bowel syndrome, colorectal cancer and psychological disorders. The appointee must have good sense of team spirit and good problem solving skills, and is also expected to be self-motivated, interested in and committed to research works. Applicants holding a PhD Degree with post-doctoral experience and a strong research record will be considered for appointment as Post-doctoral Research Fellow. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
