【实用英语45】双语：世界最大橡皮鸭亮相香港 5月2日，在香港全城的翘首期待中，巨型黄色橡皮鸭终于游入香江，将维港变成一个“大澡盆”。荷兰艺术家霍夫曼为了给大家带来欢乐和童年的回忆，计划了这一橡皮鸭环绕世界之旅。 This enormous rubber duck is far more than a bathtime buddy。这只巨大的橡皮鸭可不仅仅再是你洗澡时的小黄鸭玩具了。 Dubbed Spreading Joy Around The World, it was designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman to 'put a smile' on people's faces。这只名叫“传播欢乐到全球”的橡皮鸭由荷兰艺术家霍夫曼设计，霍夫曼希望它能让人们脸上“绽放出笑容”。 The 54ft-high inflatable made its first appearance today in Hong Kong, where it will be spending a month floating around the city's Victoria Harbour。这是这只54英尺高的橡皮鸭首次在香港亮相，它将围绕着维多利亚港漂浮一个月。 Mr Hofman said he wanted to bring joy with his giant duck, which he claimed help reconnect people with their forgotten childhoods。霍夫曼说他想要让自己的大鸭子带给人们快乐，让人们回忆起自己的童年。 'My sculptures cause an uproar, astonishment and put a smile on your face,' he said。“我的作品都能引起一场骚动，带给人们惊奇和笑容，”霍夫曼称。 'They give people a break from their daily routines.
