Symposium C Optical, optoelectronic and dielectric coatings in International Thin Film Conference2013 (TACT 2013) http://tact2013.conf.tw/ Continuing from 2009 and 2011, TACT 2013 will be the third one in the row as the important biennial events for knowledge exchange and interactive platform for researchers and engineers from academia and industry, research laboratories. While this Conference is held in Taiwan, there were more than 700 invited and contributed oral and poster presentations each time, over one quarter of which were from abroad. The TACT 2013 will have six important symposia, namely A. Coatings for sustainable energy B. Nanostructured and nanocomposite coatings C. Optical, optoelectronic and dielectric coatings D. Tribological and protective coatings E. Biological coatings F. General subjects related to thin films and coatings The submitted manuscripts, subject to the peer review process, will be published in special issues in prestigious journals of “Thin Solid Films” and “Surface and Coatings & Technology”. The forthcoming TACT 2013 is expected to be an even better one with increasing involvements and participations from overseas. Particularly, the endorsement from AVS greatly enhances the visibility of this platform, not to mention the conference venue at the Grand Hotel Taipei, a landmark in Taiwan.
