Chemistry Comes Alive! Volume 1 - 2
|
|||
![]() The first publication in the Chemistry Comes Alive! series covers topics in stoichiometry, chemical reactions, gases, and electrical properties of matter. This title is a second edition; it has been updated to include the same high quality movie formats as the newer publications in the series JCE Software announces updated versions of Chemistry Comes Alive!, Volumes 1 and 2. Now using state-of-the-art compression these new editions yield higher quality video with smaller file sizes and data rates better suited for WWW delivery. Users who are familiar with the video on Chemistry Comes Alive!, Volume 3; Periodic Table Live!, 2nd edition; ChemPages Laboratory; and Multimedia General Chemistry Problems already use this new format. Chemistry Comes Alive! is a series of CD-ROMs for Macintosh and Windows computers. Chemistry truly does come to life through this collection of pictures, animations, and movies depicting chemical reactions. In Chemistry Comes Alive!, the emphasis is on the chemistry. Reactions are shown close up. Only where scale is important can more than the demonstrator's hands be seen. All movies in Chemistry Comes Alive! include a voice-over narration, and the sound of a reaction is included when it is important. Reactions or demonstrations in Chemistry Comes Alive! illustrate an important aspect of chemistry, involve substances or equipment that are not available in many schools, or are hazardous or cause problems of disposal or cleanup. All are certain to stimulate students' curiosity and help them learn. The Chemistry Comes Alive! collection includes the images previously published in Periodic Table Videodisc, (1) ChemDemos Videodisc (2), ChemDemos II (3), and Titration Techniques Videodisc (4) as well as new video, graphics, and animations. The collection is divided into several CD volumes on related topics as recommended by a group of chemistry educators. Each volume contains many reactions and demonstrations grouped into a few broad categories, called Chapters. Chapters and specific topics included on each CD are available here as a PDF file. shown in the tables on page 672. http://jchemed.chem.wisc.edu/Journal/Issues/2000/May/abs671.html passw:bolivia http://mihd.net/1p3dmq http://mihd.net/jgc08a http://mihd.net/ivofj7 http://mihd.net/j3qnrg ![]() The second installment in the Chemistry Comes Alive! series covers topics in electronic properties, the periodic table, bonding, solids & liquids, and solutions.
