I don't think the Na-doping can improve the performance of electrode materials for LIB. Na-ion intercalation is easier than Li-ions.

Na cannot form very strong coordinate bonding with oxygen, so it cannot occupy the Fe position in LiFePO4 and V position in Li3V2(PO4)3. However, it is observed that lithium-ion can occupied the 16c/d position in spinel materials. For example, Li4Ti5O12 can be write Li (8a)(LiTi5/3)(16c/d)O4(32e).
