The cathode electrode disks were dried in a vacuum oven at 50 ◦C for an hour before assembling the cell. Next, 1.0 M LiCF3SO3 (Acros Organics) salt was added to a mixture of 1,2-Dimethoxyethane (DME, Acros Organics) and 1,3- Dioxolane (DOL, Acros Organics) (1:1, v/v) and stirred for 5 min to prepare the electrolyte. The CR2032 coin cells were then assembled with the prepared cathode disks, prepared electrolyte, Celgard polypropylene separators, lithium foil anodes, and nickel foam current collectors. The cell assembly was conducted in a glove box filled with argon.
