The efficiency of removing organic substances from
source water by coagulation in clarifiers does not
exceed 50–70%. The use in clarifiers of imported flocculants
(among which are neutral ones like Accoflock
No. 100, weakly cationite ones like Accoflock C-483,
and anionite ones like Accoflock A-110 and Accoflock
A-130) and domestically produced flocculants (PAA
and VPK-402) allows the throughput capacity of clarifiers
to be increased by 15–20% and the efficiency of
removing organic matter to be improved by 10-20%.
Metering powdered activated carbon into clarifier also
somewhat increases the extent of removing organic
impurities, but this operation requires up to 0.5 kg/t of
activated carbon. In addition, the treatment of water in
clarifiers requires bulky equipment and has well-known
drawbacks as far as control and closed-loop regulation
of its operation are concerned.

通过在过滤器凝固的作用去除水源中有机杂质的效率一般不超过50–70%。在过滤器中使用进口絮凝剂以及国产絮凝剂使得过滤器的吞吐能力提高15–20%,同时使得去除有机物质的能力提高10-20%。进口絮凝剂包括:中性絮凝剂像Accoflock No. 100, 弱阳离絮凝剂像Accoflock C-483,以及阴离子絮凝剂Accoflock A-110和 Accoflock A-130;国产絮凝剂包括PAA 以及 VPK-402。细粉状活性炭用在过滤器中也可以在某种程度上提高去除有机杂志的效果,但是这一方法(处理)每吨(水)需要高达0.5Kg的活性炭。另外,通过过滤器处理水需要大量的设备,并且有其显著的缺点,仅仅考虑到它操作中控制以及关闭管的管理就足以让人担忧了。
