[交流] Purdue Pharma：如何让一个药独占市场30年？已有5人参与

盐酸羟考酮是一种常用镇痛药物，通过激动μ阿片受体，缓解中度至重度疼痛。

Purdue Pharma的控释处方于1996年上市，商品名为OxyContin。但这种控释片必须整片服下，如果掰开嚼碎或研磨药片会导致羟考酮的快速释放，患者长期使用会产生耐药性和成瘾性。

2010年，Purdue耗资1亿美元，又推出了所谓的耐挤压新处方，能够降低成瘾性。

2012年OxyContin在美国的销售额达到26.95亿美元（数据来自drugs.com），成为最畅销的成瘾性药物。

2013年4月16日，OxyContin控释处方专利到期（US5508042），FDA也在这一天宣布，不再批准原版的OxyContin仿制药，因为原版的成瘾性太严重。

这样，Purdue依靠新处方专利可以保护至2025年，成功实现独占市场30年。

CentristCoyote: As if more proof was needed that Big Pharma has the government in their back pocket. You’re a fool if you think this will actually help anything except the profit margins of the company that has the patent. And it will make the drug more expensive for a lot longer, for people who legitimately need it for chronic pain.
