An Introduction to Chemoinformatics

Chemoinformatics draws upon techniques from many disciplines including computer science, mathematics, computational chemistry and data visualisation to tackle these problems. This, the first text written specifically for this field, aims to provide an introduction to the major techniques of chemoinformatics. The first part of the book deals with the representation of 2D and 3D molecular structures, the calculation of molecular descriptors and the construction of mathematical models. The second part describes other important topics including molecular similarity and diversity, the analysis of large data sets, virtual screening, and library design. Simple illustrative examples are used throughout to illustrate key concepts, supplemented with case studies from the literature. Andrew R. Leach, Valerie J. 国外关于化学信息学的著作： •德国J Gasteiger主编的1套（4册）手册，2003年，875美元： Handbook of Chemoinformatics: From Data to Knowledge (Representation of Molecular Structures •德国J Gasteiger主编的1本教材，2003年，105美元：Chemoinformatics: A Textbook •英国Andrew R. Leach主编的教材，2006年，95美元：An Introduction to Chemoinformatics •美国BA Bunin 主编的论文集，2006年，129美元：Chemoinformatics: Theory, Practice, & Products 这些著作主要阐述化学信息学理论，介绍应用. 而国内的大部分还停留在怎么查文献等，全面一些的，国内主要有： •缪强，化学信息学导论，高等教育出版社，2006年 •邵学广 ，化学信息学（第二版）科学出版社，2006年 •中文翻译版本：德国J Gasteiger主编的教材，化学工业出版社 但是都没有涉及“如何建立化学信息学系统”的问题。 |
