The best way to study English
|

Frankly speaking, it is not a easy to improve our English skills within a Chinese speaking environment. In this case, a lot of people chose to living overseas where there are more opportunities to use it. As a matter of fact, the best way to learn a foreign language is to read, speak, listen and write it. No matter where you are and what you are doing, Keep it consistently for at least 1 hour per day and 7 hours per week. Sending somebody to a foreign country is costy. So, I would recommend other ways: listen English program, learn the way they talk, mimic the sentence they use and follow the accent too. After learning it, you'd better practice it with someone during a conversation. Alternatively, it will be more efficient in a small learning group which speak English all the time. Obivously, studing english overseas has many advantages such as learn the most native way to speak and also the English cultures where the language was born. In this way, you will be forced to speak English all the time and you will learn the most original way to use the language tool. However, it is inevitable that many Chinese still use their own language even in a forign country as it is the most efficient way for them to communicate. Even many immigrates are still using their own language after living there for more than 20 years. In summary, there is no perfect way to study English. The best way in my opinion is movivation and consistency of yourself. |

| Well, it depends. If you are learning English for exams in China, the best way is to study grammar rules, do lots of exercises and learn as many as possible words by heart. If you are learning English as a tool, you do need an environment to practise speaking it as frequently as possible. Thus, living abroad isn't the best way to emprove your English. |
