[交流] 麻烦陶瓷高手检查一下这样的陶瓷信是否有问题，为什么申请时回复率太低(10~20%)

Dear Prof. XX:

Thank you very much for checking this E-mail from your busy work.

My name is XX, a Ph.D in xx graduated from Prof. xx's lab. at xx University. The date of graduation was xx, 2012. As I am strongly interested in xx, I am looking for a postdoctoral position next years in order to enrich my interested knowledge and skills.

Recently, I visited the website of The University of xx and found your research field (especially in xx) fit my interests very well. Therefore, could I know that whether there is a vacant position provided for a postdoctoral researcher in your research group? My past research works and related experimental skills are listed as following, which might be useful in your research group.

为什么大家都说不错呢，我觉得值得修改的地方很多。

首先不用第一句的客套话，直接开门见山I am ××× from ×××. I am looking for a postcoctoral position……或者 I am wondering whether there is a position from……就够了。

其次不用说目的，因为大家都知道，“to enrich my interested knowledge and skills”显得太直白，不如类似to optimize my career这样的好，当然也还是太直白，不如不说。

既然是陶瓷，不能说我最近看你的网页发现跟我挺适合（虽然事实如此），而是你的×××研究很有名/有趣/有水平，我非常感兴趣。我在这几年里做过×××研究（一句话概括），熟悉×××方法（列几种就好），跟你的方向很合适，很希望能在你实验室继续×××方面的研究。

equipments如果多的话放在CV里就好，不用列在cover letter里。

总之，虽然是海投，但每封信针对外导说的话必不可少，扫一扫主页和文章标题就差不多了。信的内容不但要意思简明，还要让外导看出来你对他的研究有一定了解而且很期待去他的实验室，建议用关键词多搜索一些博后简历的模板，综合一下不断修改，基本上改3-4次就成型了。
