博后招聘Postdoc Position in Synthetic Biology at UIUC 已有8人参与

本人替老板代发 A postdoctoral researcher position is available immediately in the Lu Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our research focuses on synthetic and systems biology - the analysis, construction, and exploitation of genetic regulatory networks for function reprogramming. This is an interdisciplinary research area that spans the boundary of biology, engineering, and physical sciences. Specifically, we are interested in understanding the architecture and dynamics of naturally existing networks, primarily those in bacteria, and exploring their relationship to cellular function. In parallel, we engineer synthetic gene circuits by assembling and editing genes and genomes inside living bacteria for potential therapeutic interventions and health regulation. More information is available via the lab web page: http://lulab.bioen.illinois.edu/ Ideal candidates for this position need to be experienced in molecular cloning and have a Ph.D. in biological sciences (microbiology, molecular biology, bioengineering, biophysics, biochemistry, etc.). Experiences in fluorescence microscopy and microfluidics are a plus but not necessary. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. The initial appointment is for one year and can be extended up to three years upon mutual agreement.
