1. 近十几年来,碳碳三键化学一直是人们研究的热点,许多有三键参与的反应陆陆续续的被人们报道。然而,由于碳碳三键具有很强的键能,将其断裂是件不容易的工作,所以,能够在温和的条件下将三键打断的反应很少被报道。
2. 苯酚类化合物一般是在强碱、高温、高压或复杂的操作等条件下,通过在芳香环上发生取代反应制得,反应条件较为苛刻,这极大地限制了其在工业上的应用。所以,寻求一种温和、简单、经济和环境友好的方法来合成酚类化合物是一项很有意义的课题。
3. 该反应条件温和,操作简单,不需配体。末端炔烃和非末端炔烃都可以得到很好的产率。提供了一种全新的合成苯并噁唑的方法,这是对合成苯并噁唑类化合物方法的一个补充。
4. 此反应的最大优势就是将空气中的二氧化碳变废为宝,不仅在一定程度上减少了温室效应的罪魁祸首—二氧化碳的含量,而且能够合成具有重要应用价值的酚类化合物,具有一举两得的效果。

1) In recent decades, carbon-carbon triple bond chemistry has been a hot research topic, and many triple bond involved reactions have been reported one after another. However, cleavage of the carbon-carbon triple bond is not an easy work because it has very high bond energy, which is the reason why there are few reports on breaking the triple bond under mild conditions.
2) Phenol compounds are usually synthesized via. substitution reactions on the aromatic ring under strong alkaline, high temperature, high pressure or complex operation conditions. etc.. Such severe reaction conditions largely limited their industrial applications. So, exploration of a novel method for the synthesis of phenol compounds under mild, simple, economic and environmental friendly conditions is a very meaningful research topic.
3) This reaction proceeds  under mild conditions with easy operation adn without ligand. The terminal alkynes and non-terminal (internal) alkynes all can give good yields. It provides a completely new route for the synthesis of benzoxazole, which is a complementary method for the synthesis of benzoxazole compounds.
4) The most advantage of this reaction is converting the atmospheric carbon dioxide into treasures. It not only reduces the major green house gas-carbon dioxide, but also produces high value phenol compounds which have important applications, the effect of which is like killing two birds with one stone.

Further correction and improvement with my own words:

1) In recent decades, carbon-carbon triple bond chemistry has been a hot research topic, and many triple bond involved reactions have been reported one after another. And this is the reason why there are few reports on  the triple bond breaking reactions under mild conditions.
2) Phenol compounds are usually synthesized via. substitution reactions on the aromatic ring under strong alkaline, high temperature, high pressure or complex operation conditions. Such severe reaction conditions largely limit their industrial applications. So, exploration of a novel phenol compound synthesis method, which can proceed under mild, simple, economic and environmental friendly conditions, is a very meaningful research topic.
