CIT: Quarterly Results Update
Continued Results— that’s what it’s all about!  The number of kaizens and other improvement efforts are meaningless unless they drive to bottom-line results that can be realized and sustained by the organization period over period!
In the last quarter each CI Team facilitated a second round of improvement activities and formal kaizens.  The results of these efforts are maintained in our CR Tracker program. The purpose of the program is to track and assemble the results of the efforts of each local team as well as to roll the results up to the group level in order to promote accuracy and timeliness. Scott Miller presented an overview of the soon to be released new version of the CR Tracker which will be much easier to use and will give both the CI Team and the management team the ability to monitor the progress of all the improvements through a series of dashboards.
The team improvements so far this year are as follows: Tczew $1.36MM,Chicago $1.06MM,Guadalajara $1.72MM andChangzhou $1.72MM. These results represent the efforts for both process improvements and materials.
We have continued the positive trend set in the first quarter! In addition to generating significant savings the teams have also been very aggressive in identifying even more savings that they feel are achievable this year!
World-Wide Training Update

One of the highlights of this conference, once again, was the continuation of the Leadership Training Workshop first introduced at the first conference in a two day workshop led by Tom Bennett where he took the CI Team through the first few modules.  During this conference Tom worked with the team on methods to improve their ability to work with their individual teams more effectively. Learn to recognize, focus and unleash the talent which each team member can bring to the organization. Tom did an outstanding job and the CI Team thanks him for his efforts.
In addition, Tom also presented the first set of Leadership Training modules to the GM team following our conference. They were very excited by the training workshops and are planning to continue through the modules in each of the upcoming conferences.
