This topic extracted the polysaccharide from Fomes officinalis Ames£¨Fop£©and analyzed its basic structure. The contents of reducing sugar and uronic acids in Fop were 73.81 ¦Ìg /ml and 17.07%£¬respectively. Fop was mainly composed of rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, mannose, glucose, and galactose with a molar ratio of 0.2£º0.29£º0.41£º0.77£º0.70£º1.16. Meanwhile, Fop could be absorbed through intestinal epithelial cells and its intake and transport across Caco-2 cell monolayers were probably passive diffusion as the dominating process. On the intervention trial of the expression on the intestine mucosa lymphocytokines, Fop could decrease the amount of intestine mucosa lymphocyte and the level of TNF-¦Á¡¢IL-1¦Â, increase the level of TGF-¦Â, which suggested that Fops might regulate the intestine mucosa immunity through decrease the activity of the local mucosa lymphocyte and the expression of the inflammatory factors. The results of pharmacodynamics experiments showed that the solution of Fop could increase the activities of SOD and GSH- PX, decrease MDA content in aged rats, which suggested that Fop might have the effects of anti- oxidation and anti-aging. Another experiment result showed that the solution of Fop could increase the immune organ weight of the aged rats and had certain immunopotentiation.
