美国农业部实验室招聘植物分子遗传博士后

| Postdoctoral position is opening in the USDA-ARS Lab at Washington State University for recently graduated PhD to work on the enhancement of biotic and abiotic stress resistance in forage crops. Research is focused on the identification of quantitative loci associated with resistance to soil-borne diseases (Verticillium wilt and Aphanomyces root rot) using genome-wide association (GWA). Drought tolerance, and enhanced water use efficiency will also be investigated using forward or reverse genetics. Functional markers linked to the resistance loci will be developed and validated for their diagnostic and high-throughput applications in marker-assisted selection in various breeding populations. The postdoctoral position is funded for two years renewable depending on performance and funding availability.
