That sounds interesting. I would like to find out more about your background.
Would it be possible for me to call you on the phone, so you can give a "4 minute" summary of your current work, and your research interests?
What is a good time for you? I could call you tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. I think that would be 9:00 p.m. for you (I'm not totally sure about the time difference).
Please let me know if this sounds reasonable.

我想了一下，无非就是介绍一下自己的研究方向，具体做了些啥，用了啥仪器，打好底稿，第二天电话接通：
laowai：Hello,I would like talk to yue senior
Yuesenior：Yue is speaking, hello, I feel very excited, thnank you for your consideration.
laowai: I feel excited, too.
Yuesenior: Now , may I start to introduce some of our study?
laowai: sure.
Yuesenior:My interest focuses on--------(边念边想，提前写好的，也背过了，念这有啥意义呢，老外难道不知道我会在电话这边念吗？)
laowai: sorry to interrupt，i wonder what kinds of LCMS you once used

laowai: have you ever used Waters LCMS?
Yuesenior: I once used Waters LC，but I didnot use LCMS from Waters before. i think their princples are similar, the main differents may come from  the softwares, and i donot think it is diffcult to learn a similar software as long as we once experieneced the similar instruments.---(心里想，我尽量多说，少给他提问的机会，也防止冷场)
laowai: your english is amazing！
Yuesenior: you are flattering me， anyway， thank you for saying so。
laowai: Now, I confirm I can provide a position in my lab for you.
Yuesenior: Thank you so much!
laowai: It is my pleasure, too. when are you expected to come to Canada?
Yuesenior: at earliest the end of this oct. at lastest the end of this Sep.
laowai:  Sounds great!
Yuesenior: you can ease up, i will keep you in touch all the time.
laowai:  ok, let's keep in touch! hope everything works well. I will send you the invitation letter these days.

如果您的英语不够好，怎么办？我也许不该说以下的，但是大家也不容易，以下仅供参考，提前预设外导的问题，准备好答案，接电话时用那种可以一拖二的，找个高手和你同时听，他一听懂就把准备好的答案拿到你面前，你念就行了。这样的缺点的电话的声音会有点小，还有注意事项是：你哥们的电话要轻拿轻放。还有要准备些狐裘吗咋的搭话语，当你的朋友还没有写出答案或者找到纸条时你好用，以免冷场，比如
Let me see
sorry， come again
would you please speak slowly
I have poor reception here，so please speak loudly
我成功的送走了几个哥们，哥们也大鱼大肉的请我，不过他们经常第一个半分钟就用完了我几个备用冷场句子，弄得我满头大汗，比我自己面试还紧张，哈哈哈啊。
