DPSK编码信号的最大频谱利用率问题

各位大牛：DPSK编码中，1代表相邻码元有PI相位变化，0代表没有相位变化。在此情况下下面两句话如何理解 The highest spectral efficiency DPSK packets have intensity nulls between PI-phase transitions since the shortest path between the two states in the complex plane crosses the origin, where the amplitude is zero.
