[交流] A nice day

After days with clouds in the sky and deep snow on the ground, at last, this morning, when we got up, we found the red sun.

This afternoon, when I went out of the office building, I found a deep blue, crystal sky.

No cloud, no wind, only bright sunshine and blue sky. We I pushed my bike up the slope, there was a tall, sliver and shinning power tower in front of me, against the background of the blue sky.

It was so nice a day.

I pedaled the bike towards home. Near the library, an old lady was hauling one trash bucket towards home from the sidewalk, there were still two small boxes on the lawn between the curb and the sidewalk, when I went on, she stopped there, waiting me passing by and getting those two boxes, before I said thank you, she said "hi" to me, with a shinning, huge smile on her face. How nice it is! An old lady can smile as this!

I went on.

At the parking lot near home, as usual, I met that old lady again. I do not know her name, last time, she told me to check on Channel 12 for the information about whether the school will be closed or not, because that night, there would be heavy snow. In fact, before she told me, I did not know it was on this channel. When she saw me, she said, nice day, isn't it, as smiling. I said yes. She said, I saw you were practicing driving, I told her that I had scheduled an exam, she said good luck.

I put the bike and my bag at home, went to the cross of Cary and North Bend, to wait for my daughter's school bus.

Then, an suv passed by, with the number of 6636. The driver, an old lady, said hello and smiled to me. This lady lives only one house away. In fact, when she first said hello to me through the window of her car, I did not know who she was, and wondered why she said hello to me. As she drove away, I found the number of her car was so familiar. So, I watched her car, and found she pulled in to the building beside our home. Oh, often, when we went to take Rout 41, my daughter and I often read this number as we passed by her home.

Then, through the door of the building in front of which I waited for my daughter's school bus, came out a young guy. I did not know him, either. But, he must saw me for many times, because every weekday, I stand here twice, in the morning and in the afternoon. He said "hi" and smiled to me.

Minutes later, one of my neighbors, an middle-age lady, came to wait for her children too, their bus stops only about 5 meters to where my daughter's bus stops. She wore sunglasses. Smiling, she said "hello" to me. Her husband is Alex, who helped me driving last time for about one hour, they have two daughters here, and Alex' two sons are still in Kenya, the oldest one is 20 this year.

Later, my daughter's school bus came. Against the sunshine, it is not easy to see kids in the bus. But, at least I can find my daughter is not coming to the door. The driver called, "Molly!" But Molly did not stand. Several boys came to Molly's seat, one spoke to me, the window are open a little, sleeping. Miserable girl, she caught a cold, and coughed last night, so she did not have enough sleeping last night. Molly stepped down the bus, with her bag in one hand. Often she took her bag on the back. The driver smiled and said bye, drove the bus away.

How nice day it is!

But, Molly was not happy! Oh, at this moment, I saw a drawn face.
