| Specific deletion of Dll4 in thymic epithelial cells throughout development results in a complete block of T-cell development, associated with thymic acellularity and ectopic appearance of immature B cells. Subsequent studies using pharmacologic blockade of Dll4 demons trated that on going Dll4-Notch signaling is required for T-cell differentiation in the adult murine thymus . |
