作者：Alex & Lardner My Dear, Lovely Claire, How are you in New Hampshire? I hope you are doing well there. Departed from you a day is like a year, it is so true I swear. Your voice I can still hear, your images everywhere. In my brain always appear, your favorite game which is unfair, You loved me to say “a bear has beer,” with the result you were well aware. You think the difference is clear, but an alien can do that is rare. Well, since you like it my dear, I have a story to share. Note that I am not Shakespeare, but an engineer in software. Accent does not harm my career, while machine languages decide how I fare. On the eve of New Year, I had drinks with friends after a local fair. When one friend said “cheers,” I looked around for “chairs.” There were enough chairs here, so did I declare. They laughed into tears. Tell me what’s funny there. But to speak out I have no fear, ’cause I’d rather look funny than square. People laugh but never sneer, and I always have jokes to spare. Happy New Year, and take care! Yours sincere, Thomas Blair |
