Technical Deputy R&D Director Bluestar Silicones International. - Beijing City Job Description ? Supervise and manage Xinghuo Silicones R&D Beijing team under the authority of the R&D Director ? Guarantees, under the authority of the R&D Director, the realization of studies, projects, programs and services for the Xinghuo site or related departments with the greatest possible efficiency, in accordance with the QHSE rules and good practices of Research. ? Guarantees the methodology of R&D (good practices, Project methodology, Safety and Quality management). ? Lead the team on the innovation project portfolio to ensure timely meet the deadline requested from business. ? Is personally responsible for the scientific and technical aspects of his/her department and ensures the implementation and development of competencies. Coordinate and motivate colleagues and contribute to their personal growth. ? Guarantees the formalization, the quality and durability of scientific production (reports and notes, databases, etc.) and the reliability of the results (standard tests). ? Propose investment for analysis, process laboratory or pilot ? Supervise also the analytical part and the need of development in this area. ? Takes charge of in-house and external communication about the key events in the scientific activity of the department ? Ensure a good coordination with other Bluestar Silicones R&D entities and with external laboratories sub-contracted for studies or technical activities. Favors and encourages cross-fertilization. ? Represent the R&D director when this one is not available. Desired Skills & Experience Education: Doctoral degree or above, major in Silicon Chemistry or Polymer or organic chemistry Special Knowledge/Skills: - Management skills and Leadership - Project management skills. - Market and commercial knowledge / understanding. - Insight and Innovative mind Related Experience: - Must have at least 8 to 10 years professional experience, including an assignment in silicones R&D to pose a through knowledge of the technologies - At least 3 years management experience - Must be fluent in Chinese and English Key Competencies: - Detailed knowledge of silicone products and technologies - Business oriented/market insight, Proactive - Good skills of literature/internet search - Good communication skill across organization, Team work spirit - Target oriented personality, organizing and planning Company Description The China National Bluestar (Group) Co, Ltd is centered on the chemical industry but focuses on new chemical materials and animal nutrition.
