Main research contents of the project are listed as follows: (1) engineering property variation of clayey soils when polluted by industrial contaminants; (2) variation analysis of minerals and chemical compositions in clayey soils when polluted by industrial contaminants; (3) microstructural change of clayey soils when polluted by industrial contaminants; (4) interaction between different contaminants; (5) scientific method to quantitatively analyze and evaluate the engineering property of industrial contaminated clayey soils. The project will be of great significance to not only the enrichment and development of theory of contaminated soil mechanics but also the environmental geotechnical engineering practice of industrial contaminated clayey soils.
