The unsafe way home.

Home, home, home! My old and weak parents, my kids, my friends, my house where I grow up. Wherever I work, whatever I do, I will try to get there before 12 am of lunar Jan 1. Every mean, any mean, if it can take me closer to my parents, to my kid, will be the feasible way. However, several accidents happened these days tell us, our way home is not safe. The 25-year couple died in Wuzhou yesterday, have covered many kilometers from Guangdong before their motorcycle crashed with a truck, a long-distance bus traveled from Bazhou, Hebei province for Ningxian County, Gansu province with nearly 60 passengers in, ran down a mountain slope in Ningxian, only about 10 minutes to their destinations, killed nearly 10, days before. Last year, a minibus from Beijing, with about 9 persons in, ran from Beijing to a place in Sichuan, all the passengers are Sichuan people working in Beijing, it stopped in Deyang (or another city in Sichuan), after an accident, killed several of the people in the minibus, before the Chinese New Year. So, we should pay more attention to our safety, on our way home. Of course, the government should do more. For ourselves, we should try to choose safe buses, cars when we travel; do not drive after drinking alcohol, or take a vehicle driven by a person who has drunk alcohol. Inspect your car or bike before you begin your journey, have a rest for about 10 minutes after you drive 2 hours, wear safety belt when you are in a moving vehicle. If you coming journey is not safe enough, then try to stop at where you are and ask for help. Have a safe and happy way home!  |
