| 申请CSC的博士后外导给的Visiting Scholar Scheme，对吗？说是完成这个表格之后会给我发邀请信。是否要给外导写信要求改成postdoc scheme？请求过来人指点。 |

I'm also a visiting post Doc sponsored by CSC, and now in the US, sorry my computer in the lab has no Chinese system. At first, my suppervisor give me the invitation letter as "Research postDoc", yet on the DS 2019, it is "Research Schoolar". There is no "postDoc" item on the DS 2019. Before I leave China to the US, his secretary give me another invitation letter sighed by the dean of the department. On which they said invite me as "visiting research schoolar'. I have inquired for some CSC sponsored schoolars, they said that's just OK. In the US universities, there is no difference between visiting schoolar and visiting postDoc, they are treated equally. And I've also checked the web of the Chinese ambassary in the US, when you are going back to China, you should have a varification for you have been do "postDoc research" in the US. That could be a letter from your suppervisor or the department. You may check the website at :http://www.chinesehighway.com/ Hope it be helpful. |
