EC summary for 27th, Jan

27th, Jan, we hold our 32th english corner, we changed our place from the first floor to second floor, but almost 19 people attended us. Here is the name list: Youxing, Frank, Liufang, Yangxiaopeng, Ellen, Jack, Anna, Susan, John, Yangguangcai, Amy, Max, Max’s parents,(I don’t their name), Anna2, shelley, Tanyun, Eric, and a boy, I am not sure about his name. Hostess: Ellen Summary: Shelley Our topic is“ what are your plans for winter vacation and Spring Festival?” At first Ellen told us to introduce ourseleves to each other, here comes a lot of new comer, then play guessing words. Frank prepared some words, which are really difficult for Amy and us to guess, couplets, lantern. Shelley chose Anna to be her partner, we learned rea bag, spring festival, sweep, candy. After guessing words, our main topic was coming. At first, Frank told us he will do his homework, play table tennis, basketball with his good friends on his winter vacation; Liu fang said she want to read seven books about qingchao na dian shi; then prepare for Spring Festival; Susan said she want to eat candies,fruits, sunflower seeds, and give her mom a big surprise! You xing only can have seven days off, just like most workers, he want to have a good rest; Amy, Anna, Yangxiaopeng, they students have the same goal, first finish their homework, then have a happy new year, get red bags from elders; John may have a rough time during the Spring Festival, because there is something wrong with his teeth and his nose, he have to stay at the hospital, ease his pain; Max’s father will monitor his son to done his home work, check the quality of what he did, then on the eve of the new year, arrange a party for family members, hope everyone can have a happy eve; Eric expressed his feelings about english corner, he believes it is wonderful to meet brilliant friends here, someone like Max, on his age, we can’t speak english out, even a word, but look at Max, he is so good on this part, and Liufang, the amazing mom with her son to join in english corner, as a good example for his son and us. On Eric’s winter vacation, he’d like to read electronic books. Ellen said she may hold a party for old classmates who will come home before new year’s day. Her friend gave her this task. Shelley will sweeping the house with her parents, prepare foods, candies, sunflower seeds and meat to treat her relatives and friends, after new year’s day, she want to bring her son to xinhua boostore to have fun, not reading books, but play with other kids. At the end of the EC, we found there were 19 people here, we hope next time more and more friends can join us! |
