[求助] 关于 voluntary transaction page charges的问题

今天收到ASME杂志的缴费通知，关于 voluntary transaction page charges的。这个邮件需要回复吗？这个钱可以不交的，是吧？求大神普及下这方面的知识！

Dear XX：

Attached is a PDF of the invoice for voluntary transaction page charges. Please note the following items:

1) The attached invoice shows a voluntary page charge of $450.00. If that amount is paid, you will be sent 100 complimentary copies of the article plus hard copies of the journal when it is published. You may distribute these as you and your co-authors see fit.

2) If your invoice has .33 after “number of pages,” it means that you were not charged for the last page because it was a not full page.

3) In addition to the invoice, a letter explaining the page charges and a form to pay by credit card are also attached.

We hope that electronic transmission of the invoice will speed processing for all concerned. If at any time you need the original invoice, ASME will be happy to mail it to you. Also, if the address on the invoice is incorrect, please let us know, and we will be happy to correct it.

如果自愿付版面费的话，会得到100份文章的纸质版的赠品。貌似版面费不是必须的。
