The ASME 2013 International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (ASME
IMECE 2013) will be hold on November 15-21 in San Diego, CA, USA.

This is the biggest conference of ASME, and there are thousands of people take part
in it each year. All submitted papers are peer-reviewed, and all accepted papers will
be indexed by EI after presentation on the conference. The broad and
multidisciplinary nature of the technical content of IMECE2013 warrants the
provision of topic-based Calls for Papers. Please click on the topic below for the
specific Call.

The publication schedule is as follows:
Submission of Abstract  February 7, 2013  
Author Notification of Abstract Acceptance March 4, 2013  
Accepted Abstracts Online Availability March 11, 2013
All accepted abstracts will be made available for viewing on March 11, 2013. Anyone
visiting the conference website will be able to view these abstracts at that time.  
Submission of Full-Length Draft Paper for Review April 15, 2014
Author Paper Review Complete June 29, 2012  
Author Paper Review Acceptance or Revision Notification to Author June 10, 2013  Electronic Copyright Submission Process Opens June 10, 2013  
Submission of Revised Draft Paper June 24, 2013  
Submission of Copyright Form (Final)  July 26, 2013
Copyright transfer forms are requested upon acceptance of the draft and prior to submittal of the final paper.   
Submission of Final Paper  July 29, 2013  
In accordance with ASME final paper requirements. Publication in the conference
proceedings is not guaranteed if materials are received after July 29, 2013.  

Note: The website closes at 5:00 p.m. ET. No extensions will be granted. No final
papers/revised final papers will be accepted after July 29, 2013, 5:00 p.m. ET.

A presenter must be identified for each presentation. The presenter of each paper
will be required to pay the author registration by this date. For more information

The transportation track includes four parts:

14-2 Railroad Vehicle System Dynamics
Description
Papers are solicited in the area of railroad vehicle system dynamics. The subject of
the papers includes, but is not limited to the following:  
  Wheel-rail contact  
  Railroad vehicle system dynamics  
  Numerical simulation for railroad vehicles  
  Design and optimization of wheel and rail profiles  
  Rail supports  
  Railway noise  
  Rail and wheel measurements  
  Wheel-rail stress and fatigue analysis  
  Wheel-rail wear problem  
  Experimental analysis for railroad vehicle dynamics
14-3 Crashworthiness, Occupancy and Bio
Papers are solicited in the area of crashworthiness, occupant protection, and
biomechanics. The subject of the papers includes, but is not limited to the following:  
  Structural crashworthiness (vehicles, systems, components, ..)  
  Material crashworthiness (steel, aluminum, composite, ..)  
  CAE crashworthiness methods  
  Occupant protection  
  Biomechanics
14-4 Advanced Automotive Technologies
Papers are solicited in the area of advanced automotive technologies. The subject of
the papers includes, but is not limited to the following:  
  Engine Instrumentation and Control  
  Engine Sensors and Diagnostics  
  Multi-attribute balancing (ride & handling-NVH-durability).  
  Nonlinear vehicle dynamics.  
  Automotive control system design and prototyping.  
  Tire modeling.  
  Driver-vehicle system.  
  Suspension, steering & vehicle control.  
  Traction, brake & integrated motion control.  
  Powertrain & drivetrain control.  
  Intelligent transport system (ITS).  
  Driving simulator.  
  Electric vehicle, hybrid vehicle & fuel cell vehicle.

  Truck & heavy duty vehicle.  
  Advanced modeling and simulation technology.
