everyone, sorry about this late present, because the yearly meeting, you know. obama's lineage was diverse like american society and his mother was a typical white american. from this point of view, the researchers found that obama was definitely expected to be the president. obama had blood tie with three american presidents. on november 27, 1942, obama's mother, stanley ann dunham, was born in kansas city, and later moved with his parents to hawaii. obama's mother had a lineage of cherokee-----a branch of north american indians. in 1960, the 18-year-old stanley encountered obama sr. when she studies in the university of hawaii. they got married under the pressure, and gave birth to little obama on august 4 ,1961. in the 1960s, the inter-recial marriage between white people and non-white people in the US was still a felony, but obama's parents did not hesitate to defy the law. stanley is a good-tempered girl, obama recalls it in his autobiography. this was what his mother told him. obama sr. once asked stanley to wait for him in the school library. when his mother arrived there, his father had not arrived yet. the weather was good, so his mother fell asleep on a chair in front of the library. an hour later, his father and several friends appeared, his mother also woke up, obama sr. said:" you see, she is a good girl and she will wait for me." stanley's parents strongly oppose his daughter's marriage with obama sr. on the ground of not only his skin but also his primary marriage in kenya. in the meanwhile, obama sr. 's father , that is, obama's grandfather wrote a letter to stanley's father to clearly express his opposition to the marriage, claiming that :" i do not want obama's family lineage to be tarnished by a white women." perhaps the grandfather who has quite a sense of the original sale of black slaves in the US history without any compensation. obama's mother did not want obama to hate his father because he abandoned his marriage with obama's mother. she always said that it was not his father's fault, and she put the blame on obama's grandfather in kenya. after the divorce, obama's mother married the indonesian student lolo soetoro, and later gave birth to a daughter, maya. in 1967, after finishing his study soetoro went back to work as a divisional manager of an indonesian oil company. the little obama went to jakarta with his mother and studied there. since he received education in jakarta in his childhood, obama could speak in indonesian now. in 1971, obama's mother and stepfather divorced, and the 10-year-old barack obama returned to USA alone, living with grandparents. obama's mother stayed in indonesia with his half-sister while studying anthropology at the university of hawaii. obama's grandfather took part in world war 2 and became a fruniture salesman after accomplishing his duty until retirement. grandmother madeleine had been more than 80 years old and still lived in Honolulu. she had only graduated from high school, but she was very capable, because she had worked from the secretary of the band of hawaii to vice president. madeleine seriously raised her grandchildren and sent him to the best school punahou school with 1200 students, among which were three black students including obama. obama clearly inherited his mother and grandmother's characters, he said his grandmother had the spirit of great prudenct and hard work of the midwest american charachters, the older he grew, the deeper he felt his grandmother's influence on him in 1995, obama's mother, stanley ann dunham, died of ovarian cancer at 53, obama once recorded in his book the process of his mother struggling with cancer and experienced the loneliness from his mother's eyes. the 4 Chapter comes, but i won't write here in weekends, enjoy the big time ! |
