求教关于携带志贺毒素噬菌体的知识

| 在文献中看到PCR was performed to confirm it was a shiga toxin-carrying bacteriophage.stx1 and stx2 genes were not detected in coliphage ECP4 based on the PCR results (data not shown).可是始终搞不明白，既然携带志贺毒素的噬菌体，不是会编码stx基因产志贺毒素吗？为什么说检测不到这两个基因呢。文中还将此噬菌体用于食品的生物防腐，理由是The correlation between the pathogenic E. coli and the shiga toxin-carrying coliphage was analyzed with respect to gene transfer and epidemiological properties by molecular characteristics(Creuzburg et al., 2005; Shimizu, Ohta & Noda, 2009; García-Aljaro et al.,2006; Rode et al., 2011). Thus, coliphage ECP4 might serve as a possible form of biocontrol for E. coli O157:H7. 对此相当迷糊，请专业人士赐教！谢谢 |
