2013 IET Second International Conference on Smart and Sustainable City August 19-20, 2013, Shanghai, China https://www.icssc2013.cn/ General Information This conference (2nd IET International Conference on Smart and Sustainable City) will provide a unique forum for researchers, engineers and educators interested in Smart and Sustainable City to learn about recent progresses, to address related challenges and to develop new methods, applications and systems. The conference, to be held on August 19-20, 2013 in Shanghai, the largest city of China, is sponsored by Shanghai University and University of Technology in France, and co-organized by IET Shanghai Local Network, IEEE CIS Shanghai Chapter. The proceedings of the conference including all the accepted papers will be published by IET (ISBN:978-1-84919-707-6) and indexed in both INSPEC and Ei Compendex. The expanded version of the selected papers will be published in special issues of four IET Research Journals (SCI Indexed) (https://www.icssc2013.cn/). Numeric Modeling, and Simulation of Complex City: • GIS and 3D modeling of the city and its infrastructure, multiscale geometry and visualization • Simulation of building and urban infrastructure, multiphysic simulation with human behavior • Augmented reality, virtual reality, user interface design, human-computer interaction B. Sensing and Internet of Things: • Internet of things, sensor network for urban issues • Video sensor network, video analysis and pattern recognition • Optical sensor network, wireless sensor network and broadband wireless technology C. Cloud Computing and Big Data : • City related big data problem, cloud computing for city issues • Distributed storage and processing and parallel computing • Heterogeneous data collection and georeferenced databasing D. Connected Vehicles and Smart City: • Vehicular Networking and wireless communications • Cooperative Driving, Intelligent and Autonomous Vehicles • Transportation and Connected Vehicles E. Social Network Analysis and Data Mining: • Heterogeneous data exploration of geographic social-cultural indicators • Urban knowledge discovery methodology from urban data • High efficient processing for urban data F. Applications for Smart City: • Urban security and safety technology • Aging technology and healthcare for elder Smart application for health, governance, economy, and other related areas Language The working language of the conference is English, which will be used for all printed materials,presentations and discussions. Online Submission System General Instructions: Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts written in English. The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted to elsewhere for possible publication. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field based on originality, significance, quality and clarity. The proceedings of the conference including all the accepted papers will be published by IET and indexed in both INSPEC and EI. The authors shall transfer the copyright to IET when the papers are accepted and included in the proceedings. Paper Submission for Review: Papers for consideration must be in PDF, single-spaced, one-column or two-column format. Each paper must not exceed 10 pages including figures and references. All papers should be submitted electronically via Online Paper Submission System.
