[交流] what do u think of GM foods?

It is widely known that Genetically modified (GM) foods are foods derived from genetically modified organisms. Genetically modified organisms have had specific changes introduced into their DNA by genetic engineering techniques. However, Critics have objected to GM foods on several grounds, including possible safety issues, ecological concerns, and economic concerns raised by the fact that these organisms are subject to intellectual property law. It is high time that the government should take the issue into consideration.
As my point of view, some actions must be taken by the government to alleviate the problems. Firstly, the government should fund research in the development of this kind of food which are safe and economic for us and are ecological to the environment. Secondly, the government should require labels on all genetically modified foods to remind people of what they are buying for sake of safty.

as to genetic modified crops, i really have much to say, because once i wrote a assy about the safety of genetic modifed crops`
safety is a relative concept, so if the merits outweight demerits, then we can say it is safe....and at last i found the adavantages of genetic modified crops outnumber its disadvantage
Actually there is no verified evident about the toxic of genetic modified crops
more experiments need to be done to make an irrefutable conclusion~

i don't think so, recycled cooking oil and ShanLu milk powder are harmful, but GM foods still can not prove to be safe.
