儿子下周要用英语讲故事，我的英语水平差，翻译过来有很多处错误，求高手翻译，谢谢！ 一对夫妻有两个儿子，小的时候，哥哥喜欢读商业方面的书籍，而弟弟却喜欢读哲学方面的书籍，有一天，弟弟突然问哥哥“哥哥，你长大想当什么？”哥哥毫不犹豫地回答道：“非常有钱的大商人，到那时我就有很多的钱，没有人就瞧不起我了，你呢？弟弟，你长大想成为什么？”弟弟犹豫片刻然后慢慢地说：“我想成为一个哲学家，将拿自己的学识为人类服务。”哥哥听完后摇了摇头，但没有说什么。 长大后他们如愿以偿，哥哥当上了商人，弟弟也成为了哲学家，有一天哥哥去看弟弟，哥哥挖苦弟弟说：“我当商人已经赚了不少钱，而你拿你的学识给人类的服务让哥哥看看。”弟弟没有说话只是将他带到窗前，对他说：“向外看，告诉我你看见了什么？”“许多人。”哥哥说。 然后，弟弟又将他带到一面镜子前，问道：“现在你看见了什么？” “我自己。”哥哥回答。 “窗子和镜子都是玻璃，分别只在于一层薄薄的银子，”弟弟说，“但是这一点银子就叫你只看到自己而见不到别人了。” |

It'a story about tow brothers. The elder brother liked reading books on economy, while the younger brother prefered philosophy. Once, the younger one asked his brother:"My dear brother, what would you like to do when you are grown-up?" The one asked answered without hesitation:"To be rich! To be a very very rich man! No one dares to look down on me when I am a millionaire, then a billionaire. What about you, my little brother? What kind of man would you like to be?" The little brother thought for a moment, then said:"Well, I want to be philosopher, I love to serve our human being with my knowledge." The listener only shook his head without a word. Years later, they are grown men. Just as they had wished, the elder brother became a rich businessman, and the younger one was a philosopher. One day, when the elder brother was visiting his younger brother, he digged at his brother philosopher:"Oh my dear little brother, as you can see, I am a successful businessman now, and I've made a lot ot money. What about you? Show me your contribution to the society with you knowledge. What would you like to show me?" The younger brought the swanky one to the side of window without a word, and finally said:" My brother, have a look of the outside, pls tell me what comes into your eyes?""Oh? Er....people, many."answered the elder brother. Then, the yonger brother lead him to facing a mirror, and asked "What about now"? "I myself" answered the elder borhter. "Both window and mirror are glass, but they have a slight difference. It's the thin layer of silver" said the younger one, "but just this little silver makes you could only see you yourself." |
