Bioinformatics positions avaliable in the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Several positions (bioinformatics research assistant and PhD studentship in bioinformatics) are available in the Department of Chemical Pathology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The candidate’s tasks include the implementation of software for the next generation sequencing data analysis including but not limited to ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, Methylation-seq, and whole genome sequencing. Our research projects are tightly integrated with the current research related to the genetic and epigenetic regulation in pluripotent stem cell proliferation and differentiation and embryo development using next generation sequencing technologies (RNA-seq and ChIP-seq). The bioinformatics research assistant should demonstrate the ability to do the research and prepare the manuscript independently. The successful candidate should hold a bachelor, master or doctoral degree in informatics, bioinformatics or molecular biology with the experience on programming in compiled languages such as C, C++, or Java and scripting languages such as Perl or Python. For Ph.D. candidate, minimum requirements of Ph.D. programme should be met.
