Each sand column was flushed with various pore volumes of H2O2 solution that was pumped through the column. After 3 days of contact in column, the TCE in the effluent of the first pore volume from the glass bead column was 600 ± 200 mg/l. 这两句话里的pore volume到底怎么理解，我一直认为是体积单位，但这里怎么又出来了the first pore volume |

现学现卖，臆断加猜测，仅作参考。 第一句话是不是这样，sand column是porous的，那么pore volume = total volume − material volume （from wiki“Porosity”词条），就是说对于特定的sand column，它的pore volume是固定的，比如说是1L；那么用 various pore volumes of H2O2来flush，就是说用多少倍sand column的pore volume的H2O2来flush。说实话，如果真是这个意思的话，那也应该说成是“Each sand column was flushed with various pore volumes H2O2 solutions”，因为查文献中的说法都是xx pore volumes H2O2,没有of。 然后第二句话中的the first pore volume，说实话我也不理解，甚至google也搜不出包含 “the first pore volume”的信息来。 悄悄的问下，这是正式发表的paper或者出版的书书籍么？ |
