[交流] 有去斯坦福大学的吗？帮忙看看外导的回信有诚意吗？已有6人参与

Thanks for your response.  Two things would have to get resolved before considering your request further.  First, one cannot live on $1700-1900 per month here.  Our graduate students get over $3100 per month and that is barely enough.  Our post-docs get closer to $5000 per month.  We have had problems with Chinese folks coming here and not having adequate funding, which ends up being a big problem and we can't do that anymore.
Secondly, if you intend to get anything done during a one or two year time period, you must have a very specific topic and a concrete research plan.  I don't have a particular project to which you could be assigned as all of our projects are fully staffed already.
So if you want to be considered further, please resolve the above two items.  If your funding is fixed, you probably need to go to a lower-cost institution.  Those in or around major cities in the US -- in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, or Chicago will be in areas that are too expensive.  Those in smaller cities or less populated states in the southern US or mid-west are much less expensive regions.

1. 说了$1700－1900/month的资助是远远不够的。以前有中国学者到了那里，资助金额不够的情况，麻烦大。他们不想再有这样的问题了。
2. 你要去，就要有非常具体的研究课题和研究计划。他们现在没有项目给你，也不缺人手。
如果以上两个问题能解决，他们才会考虑。否则就建议你到费用比较低的学校去。
除非你能很好的解决和回答这两个问题，否则，人家肯定就不考虑了。
