|
Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM) Soochow University, Suzhou, China The Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM) at Soochow University seeks talented candidates for a Associate Professor or Lecturer position. The candidate will conduct fundamental research at relevant organic/inorganic and organic/organic interfaces. The energetics at such interfaces are crucial for the performance of devices in the field of Organic Electronics and will be mainly explored by angle-resolved ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (ARUPS) at FUNSOM. The experimental work will also include other surface science techniques like low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) or X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and synchrotron based techniques like X-ray diffraction (XRD) or the X-ray standing wave (XSW) technique. The candidate should have a university PhD or equivalent degree in physics, chemistry, materials science or a related subject and several years of research experience on a postdoctoral level. Excellent knowledge of solid state physics as well as experience in the field of thin-film preparation and organic materials and hands-on experience with ARUPS and related experimental methods to investigate structural, electronic and optical properties of organic interfaces and surfaces is mandatory and experience at synchrotron radiation facilities is advantageous. Moreover, the candidate should have an excellent command of English and Chinese. We offer a challenging scientific task with a high degree of autonomy and the use of latest technical equipment.
