Were you crossed in love? At the age of 17 years old, my grandpa passed away, left me forever. I was so sad that I stayed in the bus for a whole day, back and forth, silently. Finally, the bus stopped slowly. I found there were only two persons left in the bus, a girl and I. Suddenly, at the door, that girl rushed to me and I was knocked down by her. And soon she disappeared, and surprisingly I did not get angry with her, and I walked back home slowly. There was still a long way from my home. About twenty minutes later, suddenly, I heard someone calling me, and then I stopped. It was that girl in the bus. She said to me: “I was very sorry just now…” I looked at her and told her: “forget it, and you can go.” “You were…crossed in love?” “No.” I was quite amazed at her question. “But I was crossed in love” “Don’t be too sad.” “May I use your mobile for a while?” “Why?” “Because I got crossed in love.” I gave her my mobile. After a while, she returned the mobile to me. And I said goodbye to her and went back home. The next day, I received a call, from a girl, the one I met in the bus. She asked me: “Are you OK?” “Not bad.” “I want to tell you, yesterday I got your telephone number by borrowing your mobile.” “In fact, I also would give you my telephone number if you asked me for it.” “Thank you, but would you like to come out with me?” “Sorry, I’m afraid not.” “It doesn’t matter.” From her words, I could feel her disappointment. From then on, every morning, I could receive a message from her—“good morning”. Then, almost one month later, I decided to go out with her. She was a talkative girl, and she always told me a lot of things about her, and I just listened to her. The whole summer, we stayed together. However, I was never sure whether I loved her or not. But in my heart, she and I were just friends. One evening, she told me: “I want to end our relationship…” And I laughed, the first time before her. She asked me why I laughed. I said: “we have never established that relationship, so where is the ending?” Suddenly, she cried, the first time that I saw her tears. Soon she ran away after giving me a letter. Several days later, I opened that letter, she said: …… I’m sorry I have to tell you that I will leave this city soon. This evening, I hope I could find a reason to stay. If you don’t want to end our relation, then I will give you a hug and tear up this letter. I hope you will make a right decision! …… After reading the letter, I began to laugh bitterly, in the bus. “Were you crossed in love?” “Yes, just now…” Comment: I chose to write this story because I want to give the teenagers some advice. That is, “remember, dear, you are still too young to understand love. So guard yourself well or you will easily get hurt.” I had a similar experience when I was 17 years old. In some way, there are some similarities between the girl and me. This is a romantic but sentimental love story. The meeting and association of the boy and girl are very romantic. But the ending is so sentimental. This story describes two characters: a girl and me. She is brave enough in the pursuit of love. And the boy is a quiet, retiring and rather shy teenager. Actually, they are both too young to understand love. There are a lot of dialogues between the two characters in the story. The linguistic description makes the characters lively. The story is arranged in chronological order and the context is closely-linked. The whole story focuses on the sentence “were you crossed in love”, which is the topic sentence of the whole story. The ending is very unique, and gives readers a lot of imagination. Some details should be considered more to make the whole story more logical. Only relevant details are useful and effective. Analysis: The meeting and association of the boy and girl are very romantic. The ending is so sentimental. They met in the bus and then the girl “stole” the boy’s telephone number. Finally a letter gave their relationship an ending. However, in fact, it turned out that the boy loved the girl. But no one knows whether they will meet again. God knows! This story describes two characters: a girl and me. The girl was very brave and devoted herself to this love affair. But the boy thought they were only friends, not lovers. It turned out that they were both too young to understand love. The way to true love can’t be so smooth, and there must be more or less difficulties. It’s a pity that they haven’t kept their faith and believe in their love. There are a lot of dialogues of the two characters in the story, very objective and common, and makes the images of the characters more vivid. The story is arranged in chronological order, from their meeting in the bus to their separation. The sentence “were you crossed in love” is the theme of the whole story. And the ending is a little bit implicative, and gives readers a lot of imagination. Maybe, the boy loses the girl forever; maybe, one day they will meet again in the bus. Portrayal of details should be considered more to make the story more logical, such as the description of the letter.
