[求助] 湖泊生态类SCI被拒理由是无重复无对照

一篇有关湖泊鱼类放流对浮游生物影响的文章, 每月调查一次, 共调查了五年, 审稿两个月后学术编辑给出如下结论:
Thank you for submitting your manuscript to **. After careful consideration, we have decided that your manuscript does not meet our criteria for publication and must therefore be rejected.
Specifically:
The overall conclusions cannot be supported by the data because:
(1) there is no replication
(2) there are no controls
(3) the lake system is complex and multi-factorial
At best the data can only stimulate speculation about patterns observed in one case study, but cannot elucidate causes. Any correlations are dubious because the time series is very short and there is no replication.
两个审稿人, 一个说This is a good manuscript with a lot of data. 逐字逐行的提了很多建议. 另一个审稿人对照刊物的发表要求给了一小段话,摘录如下
5.The English in this research paper is good. 6.No problems with publishing requirement #6. 7.No problems with publishing requirement #7.
第二审稿人提的最大的问题是In my opinion, too many variables were varied over the course of the monitoring project to have much confidence in assigning meaningful causation to changes or lack of changes in water quality variables.
虽然本文数理统计方法也得到了他的肯定:Overall the presentation of the methods and statistical approach were good.
个人感觉第一个是专业人士,而第二个对本专业不是很了解. 生态类的研究环境因子的确是多, 只能用生物统计的方法了.
