编辑的回信如下，我的理解是如果能回答第二外审的意见，并在修改稿中修改，论文即可接受，可外审推荐的参考论文和我的工作根本是两回事，我能够把问题回答清楚，但既然是不同的工作，我实在不知怎么改的修改稿啊。求助！！！
I'd like to accept this paper because I believe it presents a valid and potentially different solution to a real metrology problem in high-precision measurements. The main hesitation I have is that it is still not clear the work represents a significant advance over existing literature, as continually expressed by reviewer #2. Perusal of the offered reference by Keem, et. al., ("Removing nonlinearity of a homodyne interferometer by adjusting the gains of its quadrature detector systems," Appl. Opt. 43 (12), 2443-2448) indicates that work also uses a quadrature-detection method used to measure polarization at the output of an interferometer (with an admittedly different physical context and analysis). If comment (1) by reviewer #2 can be sufficiently addressed in a revised manuscript, this paper may be considered for publication. Other minor comments by Reviewer #1 should also be addressed.
