  Abstract:  A new method of susceptibility test in reverberation chamber based on statistics theory is proposed in this paper. With the purpose of getting the testing method, the statistical mean time which can solve the problem of unsteadiness field is defined. And the results from this method are validated by a large number of susceptibility experiments in the lab. When RC in stirred mode, the susceptibility threshold should be the statistical mean field strength of the location where the antenna is. While in tuned mode, the threshold should be the mean field strength of all the independent positions. The experiments show that this method is simple and can obtain the susceptibility threshold at any frequency with well repeatability. The comparison between first and second edition of IEC61000-4-21 is presented in this paper and the results are also validated.   Abstract:  This paper presents a investigated the radiated immunity test method using a reverberation chamber and the relevant properties compared with GTEM cell method. A new method is presented, based on the definition of the susceptibility threshold, by using the average value received by antenna in a complete rotation of stirrers. This method is very simple to be applied and presents a high repeatability. An important result for radiated susceptibility test is that the average value of antenna received in all independent stirrer positions and the maximum value in all independent stirrer positions have the similar trends. However, considering the comparison with stirred mode, the results of tuned mode are the average value taken over all independent stirrer positions. This paper also considered the comparison between reverberation chamber and GTEM chamber measurements. © 2012 IEEE.

  Abstract:  In accordance with some defects in the current standard test method of radiated immunity of device in mode stirred reverberation chamber, and in order to obtain the reasonable test method with high repeatability, device is tested in both stirred-mode and tuned-mode of reverberation chamber. The influence of statistical mean time and rates of tuners when reverberation chamber addresses in stirred-mode is investigated though a large amount of experiments. The results indicate that the repeatability of stirred-mode is better than that of tuned-mode; and the susceptibility thresholds of tuned-mode are higher than others in whichever speed. The results also show that the susceptibility thresholds decrease with the rates increasing.
