OAC activities, routines, work methods and troubleshooting guides are documented and available to Operators in their workplace Having documented vision operating practices is one of the main keys to ensuring that tasks are carried out in a consistent manner. They are also of great use as a training aid for new staff. Ideally these practices should make use of photographs and should not be longer than one side of single sheet of paper Prior to equipment startup at the beginning of shift, it is necessary to carry out a pre-startup routine to ensure that the equipment is in a safe state to operate. This check can take the form of checklist which is completed each shift(similar to the pre-start routine a pilot would undertake in their aircraft).This can be assessed during the site tour |
